The Towing and Recovery Association of America (TRAA) annual Legislative and Leadership Conference will be held in Arlington, Va., March 22 and 23, 2013. TRAA Committee meetings will be held Thursday, March 21, from 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm followed by a reception at 6:00 pm.
According to a TRAA press release, conference topics will include:
A double panel discussion on “Developing State and Local TIM Initiatives” which will include the Florida RISC program as a model for attending states.
The Women of the Towing and Recovery Association of America will have a panel discuss “Changes in Women’s Status in the Industry.”
Tom Martin (I-95 Coalition) and Jenifer Morrison (NTSB) will have a presentation on “Preserving Evidence at the Scene.”
Industry publications: Tow Times, Clarissa Powell; American Towman, Dennie Sorrenti, Footnotes, Bill Candler; and TOW411,Ron Parrish will discuss “Associations and Industry Publications-Mutual Support.”
Other topics will include The New Face of Motor Clubs, Sandy, the Northeast Catastrophe and an update on the Supreme Court Case: Dan’s City v. Robert Pelkey by Mike McGovern.
TRAA will be setting up hotel reservations and sending conference registration forms in early January.
