Tow Truck Procession — Rex Ewing Sr.Dec 19th, 2012 | By Editorial Staff | Category: Spotlight
“It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that the owner of Ewing Bros., Inc., Rex Ewing Sr., passed away on December 16, 2012, at 9 p.m. He helped guide and evolve the Nevada towing industry to what it has become today.
“His vision to move this company into the forefront of the Southern Nevada region gained the respect of many of you. He was dedicated to serve the motoring public as well as local law enforcement by purchasing the first light-duty “flatbed” and wheel-lift tow trucks, and the first hydraulic, heavy wrecker in Southern Nevada. His love to help this community grew to the point that he purchased the first 60-ton rotating wrecker to help with fire department extrications and rescues.
“A Tow Truck Procession will be held for Rex Ewing Sr., as he is the true ‘Godfather’ of the towing industry in the State of Nevada. Please contact me if you wish to participate, or if you are able to send someone on your behalf.”
