Ramsey Industries Recognized by United WayNov 30th, 2012 | By Editorial Staff | Category: Industry News
Ramsey Industries, Inc., manufacturer of service cranes, industrial winches, and planetary gear drives, was recognized by the Tulsa Area United Way as an outstanding Trailblazer company during the organization’s November 8 celebration.
Ramsey was one of a select group of local businesses in 2012 that were challenged by the United Way to meet an ambitious fundraising goal that began with an early campaign. Company employees also volunteered time at one of 61 Tulsa Area United Way partner agencies that provide vital services and support to needy, disabled and under-served individuals and families in the local community.
“We are honored to have been selected as a Trailblazer company for this year’s United Way campaign,” said John Celoni, president and CEO of Ramsey Industries. “All of our employees rallied together to not only surpass our fundraising goal but experience first-hand the extraordinary impact these agencies make on human lives every day.”
In Tulsa, employees of Ramsey Industry subsidiaries Auto Crane and Ramsey Winch, raised $40,436, eclipsing an initial goal of $30,000, and doubling their fundraising results over 2011. In Olathe, Kansas, employees of Ramsey subsidiary Eskridge, raised $11,857.50, exceeding an initial goal of $6,000, and increasing their fundraising by 157 percent over 2011.
During September’s United Way Day of Caring, Ramsey Industries employees spent the day spreading a dump truck full of cedar mulch at the Hutcherson YMCA’s childcare facility.
“We’ve worked hard to build a unified team among our employees who take pride in their work and in their respective communities,” Celoni said. “It’s important that companies large and small recognize we have a responsibility to demonstrate our humanity in the cities and towns we call home. By taking the lead, we can all make a difference in the world to those who truly need a helping hand.”
