Move Over Law Having Poor Response in Manitoba, Towers SayNov 22nd, 2010 | By Editorial Staff | Category: Canada, National News, State By State News
Despite the new Move Over law in Manitoba, towing operators say there have been no improvements yet, according to a news report.
Laura Graham of Anola Towing says she had a close call Friday morning, Nov. 19, the report states. She told reporters that motorists were honking, waving or flipping the bird at her when she tried to flag them to slow down.
The legislation requires motorists to slow down and pass only when it’s safe to do so. Failure to abide by the law carries a $278 fine, according to the report.
