Zumba Anyone?

I take a country line dance class through the recreation department and I was telling a fellow tow lady I was thinking of switching to a Zumba class. In Spanish, “zumba” means to move fast and have fun — to dance to salsa and meringue music. She told me when someone calls for her husband – as in telemarketers – her daughter (their main dispatcher) tells the caller he’s at his Zumba class. I laughed so hard my stomach hurt. I can only imagine what the caller imagines. Their expressions have to be priceless.

All of us need something outside of our towing businesses to keep us balanced — spiritually, mentally and physically. I have a towing friend who jokes that he goes to basket weaving classes. I know fellow towing friends who enjoy collecting toy tow trucks and collectibles, volunteering at church and charities, watching all kinds of sports including NASCAR and drag racing, fixing up muscle cars and hot rods, riding their motorcycles, going camping, doing family things and loving a good poker game.

What’s your outside interest? Want to join me in my Zumba class?
