Paramedics say a tow truck operator saved the life of a man seriously injured in car accident in Ontario, Canada. According to a news report, Brad Gewarges, 24, was ejected from a car struck by another vehicle at Marycroft Avenue near Pine Valley drive at 5 p.m. on October 15.
Tow truck operator Rob Mileto was pumping gas across the street and heard two loud bangs. He went to the victim’s aid. Gewarges was bleeding profusely from a head wound, the report said. The operator wrapped the victim’s head with cloth and bandages from his first aid kit. Gewarges was released from a hospital two days later and is expected to recover, the report states.
Mileto was quoted as saying this is the 13th life he has saved since 1993. The operator was profiled in the Toronto Sun in 1996 for assisting firefighters freeing an elderly driver by lifting an overturned vehicle.
