After an Irvington, New Jersey, man failed in his attempt to steal a car from a convenience store, he had it towed to his home, police say. Oneil N. Swaby, 21, was arrested Wednesday, October 13, and charged with theft of a motor vehicle after he allegedly called a tow truck that morning and posed as the vehicle owner. The tow truck transported the blue 1998 Acura Integra to Swaby’s home.
Police in Hillside, New Jersey, found the car and arrested Swaby, who is being held in the Union County Jail. Police do not believe the tow truck operator had a part in the theft, a news report said.
