A tow truck operator in Tucson, Arizona, was run over while working under a minivan he was towing this morning, according to a news report.
The man, in his 20s, and his colleague, had just repossessed the van and were towing it along Interstate 10 at about 8:45 a.m. when a problem developed, the report states. The men pulled onto the shoulder of the road to adjust the van in tow.
One of the men was working under the rear of the van when he was run over. The tow truck was not in park, but according to the report, whether it was human or mechanical error is not known.
At this time, it is also not known whether the tow truck or the minivan rolled over the man, however he sustained fractures to his lower extremities and was taken to University Medical Center in serious but stable condition.
The Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident.
