Two tow trucks were destroyed by fire early Monday, September 20, in Hesperia, California, according to a news report.
Arson and bomb detail members and firefighters were called to an industrial complex when reports came in of several vehicles on fire. When they arrived, authorities found the tow trucks and one vehicle on the back of one of the flatbeds engulfed in flames, the report said.
Witnesses said three tow trucks from Lane Towing were parked in the complex. Two of those burned, but firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze before it damaged the third truck and other vehicles or structures.
Officials did not release the total damage done by the fire, but said it was easily in the tens of thousands of dollars, according to the report.
The fire may have been the result of arson, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials.
No one was hurt in the fire.
