The Minnesota Professional Towing Association announces the following information on their website: New Minnesota Law: Tow Truck Weights –  Tow trucks may exceed maximum weight and length laws when towing a disabled vehicle to place of repair or safekeeping if the move is “urgent.” A $300 permit is required (effective immediately).
