The Texas Towing and Storage Association has released the first DVDs in their TTSA Education Series, according to their newsletter. There are three DVDs included in this release.

The first DVD is titled “Customer Service in the Towing Industry.” The Customer Service DVD will benefit your receptionist, drivers or dispatchers, the TTSA says, because it focuses on all the different types of customers that they may encounter. The second DVD is titled “The Dispatching Puzzle.” This DVD is more in-depth on that position. Both DVDs are general enough so that if you have a one-truck company or a larger company, you will find them a helpful tool in educating your employees on customer service.

The third DVD is coming out later this summer and it is titled “Vehicle Storage Facilities – Navigating the Rules.” This one is available for preorder now. TTSA is waiting for the legislative session to end to finalize the DVD so the rules will be the most up-to-date. You can order all three for a discounted price of $99.95 by calling the TTSA office at 866-924-2088.

A team of TTSA board members, headed by Rhonda Hight and Amy Milstead, also participated in a recent Southwest Tow Chili Cook Off and came away with the Grand Chili Master Award. The grand prize was $500, which will go to the Jim Luce Memorial Scholarship Fund. TTSA also received donations from Mark Denson of Houston, who placed second in the cook-off, and Chris Shanks from Fredericksburg, Va.

If you or an employee of your company has a relative that is a college student, they may be eligible for a $1,000 scholarship through the Jim Luce Memorial Scholarship Fund, Visit www.ttsa.org for information.

TTSA has also sold a large supply of their salsa and barbecue sauce all over the U.S., which carries the TTSA logo. A limited supply is still available.
