The Towing and Recovery Association of America (TRAA) website (www.towserver.net) has been undergoing reconstruction and is now ready for a visit.
There are copies of Tom Martin’s speech at the L&L Conference, information about the Chevrolet Volt, Michael McGovern’s synopsis of Federal Court decisions regarding government-operated vehicle storage facilities, and the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS) clarification regarding tow operators reporting requirements to the NMVTIS. These may be downloaded for use.
Other information regarding WTRAA, certification, membership, products, state association and associate members, and tow shows is also available on the website.

In addition, the TRAA Board of Directors’ meeting will be held in a new venue in Portland, Ore. from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1. The meeting will be held in the Paramount Hotel with host Gary Coe. Thirty rooms have been reserved at the hotel at a group rate of $129. Coe has arranged for his town car to pick up guests and take them to the hotel if an email request is made including the guest’s flight number, date and time of arrival. The United States Auto Club (USAC) has donated $8,000 to TRAA to help defray costs for Level 1 Certification Computer Testing. For a limited time, computer testers receive $20 off and USAC members save $40.
