Wisconsin Towing Operator Killed on Roadside is Identified
Apr 22nd, 2011 | By Editorial Staff | Category: FeaturesThe Wisconsin tow truck driver killed Tuesday, April 19, in Washington County has been identified as Daniel Bobholz, 59, of Allenton. An updated news report says the operator was recovering a vehicle from a ditch on Highway 41 near West Bend when an SUV struck a county sheriff’s squad car and then Bobholz, who was pushed against his tow truck. He then fell onto the highway and was hit by a passing tractor-trailer.
Police are investigating, and earlier blamed bad weather conditions from Tuesday’s snow and ice storms for the accident.
