A Milwaukee, Wis., tow truck driver who police believe shot two men attempting to rob him at knifepoint Friday afternoon, April 15, may be charged in connection with the incident, according to a news report.
The tow truck driver was arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon following the shootings Friday. The man, whose age was reported as 28, was questioned, booked and released, the report states.
According to officials, the tow truck driver was about to tow a car when the two suspects tried to rob him at about 12:30 p.m. After handing over some money, the driver began struggling with the robbers, suffering a minor cut, the report states. He then allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the two suspects.
The suspected robbers, ages 18 and 22, suffered wounds that were not life threatening. They were in police custody Monday.
