Tow Truck Operator Shoots Robbery Suspects

A tow truck operator shot and wounded two men attempting to rob him at knifepoint on Friday, April 15, in Milwaukee, Wis. The 28-year-old operator was about to tow a car on West Silver Spring Drive at approximately 12:30 p.m. when the two suspects, ages 18 and 22, approached and tried to rob him, a news report said. After handing over money, the operator struggled with the two men before pulling a gun and shooting both robbers.

The suspects’ wounds were not believed to be life-threatening, the report said. The towing operator received a minor cut.
