The California Highway Patrol is not releasing the cause of an April 5 accident that resulted in serious injuries to a local tow truck driver, according to a news report.
Brian Hoyle, 33, was driving a Fischer Towing flatbed tow truck westbound when he said he lost control of the vehicle’s brakes, the report states. The truck, towing a sedan, hit an embankment near an intersection and flipped onto its roof.
CHP officers have completed an investigation of the accident but are not releasing their findings citing CHP policy. According to the report, Sgt. Dee Lavrador said, “At the scene, we do know he experienced some sort of brake issue and he was unable to stop the vehicle. We have a cause, but we cannot release that.”
Hoyle is recuperating at home after suffering major injuries to his right arm.
