Pennsylvania Woman’s Death During Tow Ruled HomicideMar 11th, 2011 | By Editorial Staff | Category: National News, Pennsylvania
News reports say no charges have been filed in the death of a woman struck by her own car. Denise Polinchak, 55, of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., called for a tow Monday Mar. 7. She was struck by the open door of her vehicle as the tow truck driver attempted to back it out of a parking space, reports said. Polinchak, who was taken to a hospital, died Tues. Mar. 8.
The tow truck driver showed signs of intoxication and was taken for a blood test, Plains Township police said. A northeastern Pennsylvania coroner said the woman’s death was homicide.
