Bond has been denied for a man accused of shooting a repossession agent and another man in Florida. Jesse Elorde Ramirez, 51, was arrested in the Mar. 2 shooting of licensed recovery agent Wilfred Rivera, 48, and Delbert Charles Power Jr., 31, in St. Augustine. Rivera died from his wounds. Power was taken to a hospital and is recovering, a news report said. Both men are from Jacksonville.
When Rivera and Power arrived at the residence of Ramirez to repossess his pickup truck, they reportedly spoke with Ramirez. The suspect then came out of the residence firing a handgun, reports said. Rivera was pronounced dead at the scene. Police found Power on the ground beside the tow truck in the median at SR-16.
According to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, Ramirez is being held on one count of murder and one count of attempted murder.
