The New Jersey Department of Transportation has announced they will reimburse motorists for reasonable towing costs associated with last week’s storm, according to a news report.
In a statement issued by the department Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, motorists who required towing during the historic blizzard can apply for reimbursement. Officials say people can apply if their vehicle was stranded on state highways due to the weather and circumstances beyond their control, the report states.
The reimbursement process has not been finalized yet, but officials said information about how to file a claim and eligibility details will be announced in the coming days. Officials say this is a one-time reimbursement program, according to the report.
