Helping Out in the Community
Mike’s Garage and Wrecker Service of Vero Beach, Fla. donated more than $500 worth of toys and 15 hams to last year’s Salvation Army of Indian River County’s Holiday Feeding and Angel Tree Program.
Since 1999, the goal of the Holiday Feeding and Angel Tree Program has been to help people in the community who can’t afford meals during the holidays.
According to a news report, when Patty Jaholkowski, youngest daughter of Mike’s Garage and Wrecker Service owner Mike Jaholkowski, wanted less-fortunate kids to have Christmas presents, she made the Salvation Army of Indian River County’s Holiday Feeding and Angel Tree Program her charity.
Mike’s Garage and Wrecker Service regularly donates time, energy and money to schools, charities, veterans and foundations that help handicapped children and the disabled, the report said.
